1. Individual healing sessions via Skype

I have been giving healing sessions for over 30 years, and have now decided to offer healing sessions via Skype. When I travel and give workshops I am often asked for a session but have virtually no time available. Recently I gave a healing session via Skype and I noticed it was effective. The client and I both felt we were in the same room together. As A Course in Miracles states, “all minds are joined”, so perhaps I should not be surprised. Time and space are ego illusions, not Spirit’s.

A Course in Miracles Material

Dealing with the Ego by Michael Dawson

The Course defines the ego as the thought of separation from God. This was the "tiny mad idea" that crept into the mind of the one Christ at which it forgot to laugh (T-27.VIII.6). We asked, "Could there be something better than oneness?". "What if I became God instead of the second class son of God?" Such mad ideas could not be achieved in reality, so part of the Christ mind fell asleep so it could experience them. Not that it felt like a dream - for that would have defeated the purpose.

Time and space arose in which we could play out our desires of hiding from God whilst playing God, hoping he would never find us here and act out his justified revenge for us breaking up his heaven and leaving. In fact, we wanted an angry God for that would make our dream seem true. We could tell ourselves we had actually succeeded from breaking away from our father. In reality, however, God knows nothing of our childish dreams, for He can only know what is eternal. Sin would only be real if we could change the eternal, the Christ in us, and that is impossible. But in our dreams we feel we have much to be guilty about and the ego makes full use of this. Guilt is the food of the ego, without which it can not exist.

The ego dictates a steady stream of advice to help get us what we think we need, missing the point that the ego's real motive is "seek and do not find" (T-12.IV.1). The ego is our creation, our child, and wants to live. In giving us counsel that never works it forces us to return to him for more of the same. In time we start to suspect the motives of the ego - that he is our enemy and not our friend. This usually leads to the conclusion that the ego must be fought and overcome. Big mistake! This attitude makes the ego seem real - an example of what the Course calls "making the error real". Thus we need not try and change the ego or "improve" it. The greatest fear of the ego is not to be taken seriously. With no guilt to feed on the ego will simply "fade into the nothingness from which it came from" (M-13.1).

But if we fight (or love) the ego we have made it real. And what could fight the ego but the ego. The other counsellor in our mind, the Holy Spirit, never fights or opposes anything as He does not recognise the ego as real. The truth needs no protection from the false. Instead He asks us to simply look at our ego without judgement.

Forgiveness, on the other hand, is still, and quietly does nothing. It offends no aspect of reality, nor seeks to twist it to appearances it likes. It merely looks, and waits, and judges not. He who would not forgive must judge, for he must justify his failure to forgive. But he who would forgive himself must learn to welcome truth exactly as it is. A Course in Miracles  W-pII.1.4.

The very seeing of what the ego advises us to do, which is always some form of attack upon ourselves (e.g. sickness) or others (e.g. anger), will eventually lead us to not following its advice. If we see that putting our hand in a flame causes pain we will not do it. No effort or practice is required.

One form of attack upon ourselves is not so easily seen. This is the ego's advice on how we can improve our image, perhaps to become more 'spiritual'. The Course teaches us we are created in the image of God. The only difference, which led to the idea of separation and hence to the birth of the ego, is that we cannot create God. He is the Father and we are His Son - the Christ. Apart from that one difference we share all of God's nature.

The truth about you is so lofty that nothing unworthy of God is worthy of you. T-9.VII.8.4

If we ponder this a moment we realise that any desire to improve ourselves, to be better people, is playing directly into the hands of the ego. Can we improve what God created? What we are trying to improve is our ego - our treasured image of individuality and specialness. This can only increase our sense of guilt as it reinforces the idea of separation believing what we have miscreated is superior to what God has created.

All things you seek to make your value
greater in your sight limit you further, hide
your worth from you, and add another bar across
the door that leads to true awareness of your Self.
Lesson 128

Deep within you is everything that is perfect,
ready to radiate through you and out into the world. Lesson 41

As we start to awaken from our dream of separation the ego becomes ever more subtle in its advice. We may have seen through the ego's ploy that we can achieve happiness by attacking others and pursuing material goals, but how easily he can snare us again by encouraging us to pursue spiritual goals. Looking with horror at all our character defects we vow to conquer the ego and become better, more spiritual people.

Your worth is not established by teaching or learning. Your worth is established by God. As long as you dispute this everything you do will be fearful, particularly any situation that lends itself to the belief in superiority and inferiority. T-4.I.7:1-3

The ego rubs its hands in glee as we take up the long path of fighting against all our newly discovered sins. The resulting guilt from our failures will be a rich source of "food' for the ego for a long time to come. Nor do we easily see that our fight to become 'good' is just a reaction to the guilt we feel at seemingly separating from our Father in Heaven. But the separation is an illusion, we are simply asleep in Heaven. There is no need for sacrifice, suffering or redemption. All that is required is a desire to wake up and leave the dream behind.

Enormous effort is expended in the attempt to make holy what is hated and despised. Nor is a lifetime of contemplation and long periods of meditation aimed at detachment from the body necessary. All such attempts will ultimately succeed because of their purpose. Yet the means are tedious and very time consuming, for all of them look to the future for release from a state of present unworthiness and inadequacy. T-18.VII

The spiritual self we are trying to cultivate will never feel adequate because it will still be the ego, but now wearing spiritual clothes. We are doomed to suffer a lack of self worth until we realise that what we are trying to create is false. How could we possibly improve on the perfection of our Christ self? It has ben nothing but a hopeless journey of arrogance.

Do not strive for spirituality. If you do, you will block it.
It will be prevented from coming into your life.
That is the most difficult thing for most people to learn,
not to get in their own way. It is already yours.
It has always been so. Relax, be still, and you will see what I mean.
It has never left you. Your mind, with all of its endless demands,
has taken you away from that clarity.
Raymond Karczewki

Can we look at all our spiritual striving and smile at it?
Can we learn not to take the ego seriously, which means we no longer try to change it - ours or another's?
Can we stop trying to be good and simply relax into a non-judgemental awareness of what our mind gets up to?
Are we willing to say to ourselves, "I am no longer in charge of my spiritual journey. I know nothing. Please teach me."?
Are we ready to awaken from the dream of separation which also includes releasing our attachment to the parts of our dream which do give us satisfaction?

If we can the Course promises us the peace of God. If we are not ready it counsels us not to fight ourselves (T-30.I.1.). The happier parts of the dream still call to us to stay asleep. This is not a sin, simply a painful mistake most of us are making. One day we will tire of all dreaming and finally let the hand of the ego go. Then the light of spirit will be allowed to shine in our mind, the ego will disappear and we will awake to our home in Heaven which we never left.

The acceptance of the Atonement (waking from the dream) by everyone is only a matter of time. This may appear to contradict free will because of the inevitability of the final decision, but this is not so.You can temporize and you are capable of enormous procrastination, but you cannot depart entirely from your Creator, Who set the limits on your ability to miscreate. An imprisoned will engenders a situation which, in the extreme, becomes altogether intolerable. Tolerance for pain may be high, but it is not without limit. Eventually everyone begins to recognize, however dimly, that there must be a better way. As this recognition becomes more firmly established, it becomes a turning point.  T-2.III.3:1-7

Q #35: It seems the more I study A Course in Miracles, I begin to think I am going backward instead of forward. My mind is more noisy than ever. Why is that?

A: The Course has a helpful perspective on this: “Put yourself not in charge of this [wakening to knowledge], for you cannot distinguish between advance and retreat. Some of your greatest advances you have judged as failures, and some of your deepest retreats you have evaluated as success” (T-18.V.1:5-6). The fact is we really do not know where we are in our progress; we do not even know if we are going backwards or forwards. It is important to remember this in our study of the Course so as not to waste a lot of time and effort judging or evaluating ourselves. Most likely the noise in your mind that seems to be more than ever was there before your study of the Course; the difference is now you are aware of it. Now you know you have a mind and that it is a noisy mind, and that is exactly what the Course is helping us to learn.

We begin our practice by learning not to deny that we are using our noise to drown out the “still small Voice” (T-21.V.1:6) of the Holy Spirit. Since denial is part of our defense strategy as egos, beginning to hear our noisy minds is the beginning of undoing denial. As we deepen our commitment to study the Course, our noise may actually seem to get louder because of our resistance. Our ego identity feels threatened by what we are learning and puts up a fight in a variety of ways, one of them being a noisy mind. This is also a ploy of the ego to convince us to stop our pursuit of the truth, because it tells us we are “getting worse.” Our task is to begin to pay attention to the chatter in our minds because it is telling us what we believe. The whole point of the mind training of the Course is to uncover the thoughts, judgments, beliefs and lies hidden in our minds causing us to feel guilty and fearful. The good news is that “The still, small Voice for God is not drowned out by all the ego’s raucous screams and senseless ravings to those who

want to hear It” (T-21.V.1:6). We will hear His promptings when we have heard and forgiven all of our objections.

Non Dual Teachings

This part of the newsletter offers input from non-dual teachers. What is non-duality? The word ‘non-dual’ means not two. On the first page of the ACIM text there is two line summary of a Course in Miracles. It begins with the line “Nothing real can be threatened.”
This refers to what God created – eternal, formless, spirit. Eternal means never born and therefore cannot change or die. The Course uses the expression ‘the Christ’ to denote this. Behind all the seeming multiplicity of the universe there is actually only one essential reality. Just as all the images on the cinema screen seem different, the light that creates them is one.

There is nothing outside you. That is what you must ultimately learn, for it is the realization that the Kingdom of Heaven is restored to you. For God created only this, and He did not depart from it nor leave it separate from Himself. The Kingdom of Heaven is the dwelling place of the Son of God, who left not his Father and dwells not apart from Him. Heaven is not a place nor a condition. It is merely an awareness of perfect Oneness, and the knowledge that there is nothing else; nothing outside this Oneness, and nothing else within.
A Course in Miracles T-18.VI.1.

The second line of the summary states ”Nothing unreal exists.” This refers to everything that is born and therefore dies - the ego’s world. Thus everything in the universe including ourselves is not real according to the Course. It is like a great dream. Only perfect oneness is real.

There are two forms of non-duality – pure and impure. In the impure form God is aware that the universe is a dream and experiences itself through it - God's Leela or play as they say in the East. In the pure form of non-duality God is unaware of the universe. The Course is an example of pure non-dual teachings. A metaphor for this is a cinema projector where the lamp in the projector represents God. When the ego's film of separation is run past the light it is projected onto the screen of time and space. The light of God makes this possible, but the lamp is unaware of what is on the screen and would continue to shine when the film is taken away. To continue with this metaphor the light extending from the lamp is who we are, the Christ. ( See chart

You dwell not here, but in eternity.
You travel but in dreams, while safe at home.

You are at home in God, dreaming of exile but perfectly capable of awaking to reality.

A Quick Lesson: Train Your Mind
from: Jesus: My Autobiography.
through Tina Spalding

This is the case, dear ones: You create your own fears. You create your own hell on this plane you call Earth through the undisciplined nature of your mind. It is this galloping, wild horse that you try to ride. You keep being thrown and getting back on, and it takes you to places you do not wish to go. It is as if you are trying to live your life on an animal that has a will of its own, yet it is not so! Your mind is completely trainable. Your mind is completely focusable. It is very important for you to understand this, because it is your mind that is the creative force in your life. It is your mind that creates passion and emotion, and it is emotion that creates physical objects.

When you think of something in a dispassionate way with no energy behind it, it does not do too much, but when you think about something with passion and desire or with intense fear and hatred, you add fuel to the fire. This is what you must understand: Your hatreds and fears that are generated by an undisciplined mind are manifesting all the time in your life as disruptive elements such as people you do not like who attack you, places you do not wish to go to (your work or your home in a bad neighborhood, perhaps), and things you wish to avoid (diseases, unfortunate conversations, or combative relationships). These are created by your thoughts, your beliefs, and your emotions all working together. This is something I go over many times in this book to impress the importance of it in your mind, for you must truly understand that this is where your suffering comes from.

You think suffering comes from your sicknesses, but your sicknesses come from your fearful thoughts manifested over decades. You think it comes from your bad relationships and your obnoxious partners, but these beings reflect your own vibration, which is caused by your fearful thoughts and your anxious ideas. You think it is caused by labor that you think is exhausting, that you feel is not up to your own standards, and that depletes you of your physical energy. These experiences are brought to you by your lack of self-love, your lack of self-value. You are unable to create work that is beautiful, meaningful, creative, and a joy to accomplish when you do not see yourself as deserving of such or when you do not see yourself as able to achieve that kind of goal. So you see that many of your underlying belief systems are manifested in your world.

Manifestation of abundance
channelled through Marilyn Raffaele

One of the biggest issues troubling the third dimensional collective is lack--lack of money, resources, information etc. Praying for these things only creates them because you create your belief system and if your state of consciousness is one of lack and limitation, this is what you will create. Continually telling yourself; "I don't have." allows you to perfectly create experiences of "don't have".
When you attempt to change something from a place of resistance or solve problems on the level of the problem, you empower them. Conditions of rich and poor equally represent duality, neither having anything but the belief in them to hold them in place which means they are subject to changing very quickly.
Spiritual abundance is held infinitely in place by Divine Law and flows from the realization of "I have because I am". This is the higher way of understanding abundance. A state of consciousness that realizes money to be the material form of self sustained/self maintained completeness will manifest it outwardly and often through unexpected avenues, but knows it is never from them.
Pay your bills in the realization that because of oneness, you are simply moving forms of infinite energy from your right hand to your left. Let objects, money, goods, flow freely through you in the realization that they are flowing from an Infinite Source within and not from you personally where you can be depleted. Lack is like a person having a large bank account somewhere that they do not know about and so continue living life as a pauper while their money lies waiting.
Know that you are the very substance from which dollar bills are formed. Abundance is not just money, it is wholeness and completeness in all its forms, and you can never be separate from it no matter how hard you may try. Know that wherever your personal financial abundance seems to come from (job, family, husband or wife, inheritance) it really does not come from these things, but rather through them as your own state of consciousness in expression.
Those living fully in the third dimensional belief system do believe that abundance comes from outside of themselves and think that they are perfectly within their rights to fight, steal, or use any other means to keep it coming and increasing. This is still the mentality of many three dimensional corporations and businesses. You however, are ready to shift into the truth of abundance.
Abundance as with all truth, cannot suddenly manifest in its fullness without the substance of it--consciousness. Knowing a truth intellectually is only the first step toward attaining the consciousness of it but this never means doing nothing. First you know the truth and then take whatever human footsteps you are guided to take. Frequently a person needs to just take a job, any job, in order to get the flow of moving.
Sitting back awaiting others to appreciate and reward you for your education or experience in the exact form you desire or believe you deserve, more often than not simply creates exactly that--waiting.
Everyone is creating through their state of consciousness, but the majority is not yet aware that they are doing it. However, never judge, for many during these times of planetary evolution are not creating experiences from a place of un-awakened consciousness but rather are completing a life plan chosen pre-birth as being necessary to their spiritually evolution
Once a person begins to meditate, read, and seriously study truth, they automatically indicate to their Higher Self that they are ready for more and the "spiritual train" leaves the station. Some believe that from then on everything will be roses and light, but nothing could be further from the truth as most of you have discovered.
What happens is that the seeker has opened doors and allowed light to shine on everything hiding there. Old and dense energies still alive and well in cellular memory and manifesting as their present belief system begin to to be seen with more awakened eyes. For most, this is a time during which the "Sh.. begins to hit the spiritual fan" so to speak, leaving the awakening spiritual student to believe that he/she is doing something wrong.
No dear ones, this experience indicates that you are doing it right. In order to open to and integrate the higher frequencies of truth, every soul must first clear out the old and obsolete. This is the meaning behind the bible statement about not putting new wine into old wine skins.
This stage of evolution has been called the "dark night of the soul", and comes to every person at some point along their way. It is a time of feeling lost, alone, and even in doubt as to whether or not there really is a God. The person's former comfortable belief system no longer works and they cannot even explain it to those who have always been closest to them.
Choose not to resist this experience but rather understand the "Dark Night of the Soul" as being an important and necessary part of the evolutionary journey. It may feel negative, but is a time filled with living vital energy leading the person to a more evolved state of consciousness. If you need to, allow yourself to cry, be alone, and mourn the loss of what is quickly becoming the past without guilt. Just remember to move on, for this is just a parenthesis in the process.
You are spiritually ready for your good to flow from a conscious realization of your oneness with all that Source is. Spiritual good knows no opposite, does not fluctuate, and can be depended upon as ever present. Continuing to seek human good and remove human bad must no longer be your consciousness if you seriously seek to move beyond duality and separation.
Know that you are always being guided. Listen to and trust the silent voice of your intuition. Stop trying to to plan every detail of your lives according to concepts of how things must be in order to be right.
You are ready dear ones, you are more than ready.

We are the Arcturian Group 2/10/19

This is an extract from a larger article. See

The mind is very powerful, and never loses its creative force. It never sleeps. Every instant it is creating. It is hard to recognize that thought and belief combine into a power surge that can literally move mountains. It appears at first glance that to believe such power about yourself is arrogant, but that is not the real reason you do not believe it. You prefer to believe that your thoughts cannot exert real influence because you are actually afraid of them. This may allay awareness of the guilt, but at the cost of perceiving the mind as impotent. If you believe that what you think is ineffectual you may cease to be afraid of it, but you are hardly likely to respect it. There are no idle thoughts. All thinking produces form at some level.
A Course in Miracles  T-2.VI.9.

It is impossible that anything should come to me unbidden by myself. Even in this world, it is I who rule my destiny. What happens is what I desire. What does not occur is what I do not want to happen. This must I accept. For thus am I led past this world to my creations, children of my will, in Heaven where my holy Self abides with them and Him Who has created me.
A Course in Miracles  W-pII.253.1

Laws of manifestation:
Whatever you focus your thoughts on and energise with emotion you will draw to you whether you want it or not.
Ananda through Tina Spalding

e.g. Thinking that your money will run out and feeling fearful about it will draw that to you. Thinking that you are looked after financially and feel happy about your financial future draws that to you. Imagining you are financially sufficient NOW adds further power to the manifestation and brings it quicker.
Michael Dawson

The price is your life.

We want to be free,
lose the chains that bind us,
reach the Sun,
touch the face of God,
But we are in the way,
we are the covering,
we are the veil,
hiding the precious one,
There is nothing we can do,
but to leave ourselves behind,
there to remain no traces of an I,
revealing all, hiding nothing.
Get out of the way,
vanish, dissolve, just evaporate,
and the glory of him, the Sun,
will pervade the universe with its brilliance

Enza Vita

Watching is the key, nothing else matters, slowly slowly an understanding start growing, a witness arises and this witness is the bud of our being, the miracle that transforms, the miracle that heals, the miracle that gives birth to your authentic self.

Conceptualization is a deadly obstacle for a Zen yogi, more dangerous than poisonous snakes or wild animals. People of powerful intellect are virtually always possessed with the desire to convert everything into mental concepts; they are never able to completely free themselves of this in any of their activities. As months and years go by this craving grows even stronger. Without their realizing it, the mind and conceptualization gradually become inseparable. Those who desire to free themselves of it discover that it is impossible.

That is why I say poisonous snakes and wild animals can be avoided, but there is no way of evading intellectual conceptualization.

Tai-hui Chinese Zen Master

Gently, gently, I trained my mind to suspend its processes and thoughts. Then (in the windless calm), the flame of the Lamp, shining steady and bright, Revealed my true nature unto me.

One is more likely to awaken through surrender than through seeking to waken. The effort to awaken is the effort of ego, whereas to surrender is to give up all efforts and to place oneself in the hands of a vast force that is more powerful than any realization of non duality.

When one finally gives up one’s futile attempts to make reality conform to one’s own wishes, and allows it to unfold on its own terms, all the energy that was tied up in foolish attempts to manipulate the universe is freed up.

Mariana Caplan from Half Way Up the Mountain

In the light of calm and steady self-awareness, inner energies wake up and work miracles without any effort on your part.

Keep quiet, undisturbed, and the wisdom and the power will come on their own. You need not hanker. Wait in silence of the heart and mind. It is very easy to be quiet, but willingness is rare. You people want to be supermen overnight. Stay without ambition, without the least desire, exposed, vulnerable, unprotected, uncertain and alone, completely open to and welcoming life as it happens, without the selfish conviction that all must yield you pleasure or profit, material or so-called spiritual.

Nisargadatta Maharaj from I Am That

To meet everything and everyone through stillness instead of mental noise is the greatest gift you can offer to the universe.

Don't look for any other state than the one you are in now; otherwise, you will set up inner conflict and unconscious resistance.

Forgive yourself for not being at peace. The moment you completely accept your non-peace, your non-peace becomes transmuted into peace. Anything you accept fully will get you there, will take you into peace. This is the miracle of surrender.

When you accept what is, every moment is the best moment. That is enlightenment.

Eckhart Tolle

Grow as the flower grows, unconsciously, but eagerly anxious to open its soul to the air.
So must you press forward to open your soul to the Eternal.
But it must be the Eternal that draws forth your strength and beauty, not desire of growth.
For in the one case you develop in the luxuriance of purity: in the other you harden by the forcible passion for personal stature.

Light on the Path

If you are willing to renounce the role of guardian of your thought system and open it to me, I will correct it very gently and lead you back to God.

Germany 2019 Dates

Bonn Sat 15 and Sun 16 June - 2019
10am to 6pm

Return to love
from judgement to forgiveness

The course does not aim at teaching the meaning of love, for that is beyond what can be taught.
It does aim, however, at removing the blocks to the awareness of love's presence, which is your natural inheritance.
A Course in Miracles  Introduction to the Text. T-in.1

When a person feels seen and not judged, change happens on its own. it is like magic.
Paul Lowe

We are all created in the image of God and therefore love is our nature, our natural state. Judgements of ourselves and others blinds us to this awareness. Forgiveness of ourselves undoes judgement and begins to reveal the love within us. Any behaviour out of accord with love will show up as a disturbance in us. Our focus will be on identifying and removing the blocks to love.

This A Course in Miracle’s workshop explores the following:

What is love?
Everything is either an act of love or a call for love
From head to heart - the longest journey
Fear of God’s love
Denial and projection
Relationships - special hate and special love
Loving yourself - acceptance
Healing others through love
False forgiveness

No knowledge of A Course in Miracles is required.

Healing the Cause:
Since 1986 I have been conducting healing workshops in the UK and abroad, and have continually experimented to find healing and forgiveness exercises that are effective.  I have found that a particular exercise can be effective for one person but not another. Accordingly, I was led to develop a series of exercises. Over the years workshop participants asked if these exercises could be put onto audio cassettes and CDs so they could repeat them. This has resulted in the Healing the Cause - Exercise series - Tapes 1 to 4 (2 exercises on each tape) and CD1 and 2 (4 exercises on each CD)

CD - 3 Healing Exercises in English with German translation. 10 Euro
Ex1. Forgiving Ourselves.
Ex2. Changing Perception and Finding peace.

These exercises are similar to existing exercises already available on CDs but are translated into German.

About three times a week I send a short quotation from some spiritual teacher or poet to people who have requested some uplifting thoughts. I have included some below. If you wish I can add your name to the email list.

How long, O Son of God, will you maintain the game of sin? Shall we not put away these sharp-edged children's toys? How soon will you be ready to come home? Perhaps today? There is no sin. Creation is unchanged. Would you still hold return to Heaven back? How long, O holy Son of God, how long?

A Course in Miracles  Lesson 250

The true act of forgiveness requires you to see your own judgments as the crime, the one thing that keeps you from connecting with Source.
Making Love to God: The Path to Divine Sex
Tina Louise Spalding

Do understand that you are destined for enlightenment.
Co-operate with your destiny, don't go against it, don't thwart it.
Allow it to fulfil itself.
All you have to do is to give attention to the obstacles created by the foolish mind.

Nisargadatta Maharaj
I Am That

When you listen to the voice in your head, that
is to say, do not judge.  You'll soon realize: there
is the voice, and here I am listening to it, watching
it.  This I am realization, this sense of your own
presence, is not a thought.  It arises from beyond
the mind.
